Refund Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

This page explains, in plain language, how cancellations and refunds work for medspas and aesthetic practices on an AfterVue plan. The controlling document is the Online Subscription Agreement for a subscription bought online, or a signed Order Form and Master Subscription & Services Agreement where one exists; if anything here differs from those, they control. Patients who use an AfterVue preview never pay AfterVue anything, so nothing on this page applies to them.

The short version. Start month-to-month and cancel any time — that is the risk-free way to try AfterVue, and it is what we recommend. Move to a six- or twelve-month plan when you are confident it is worth it. A prepaid term is paid in full and, once bought, runs to the end of its term: no refunds and no proration. We would rather you took your time than took a commitment you regret.

1. Month-to-month — cancel any time

A month-to-month plan bills automatically each month and keeps going until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time, with no notice period and no reason required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you are already in, so you are never billed again after you cancel.

The month you have already paid for is not refunded and is not prorated. You keep full use of the Service for the remainder of it. There is no partial month and no credit for unused days.

2. Prepaid six- and twelve-month plans

Six- and twelve-month plans are paid in full at purchase, at a 10% or 15% discount. That discount exists because the term is committed — it is the whole reason the rate is lower than month-to-month.

If you end a prepaid term early, no part of the fee is refunded and nothing is prorated. There is no early-termination calculation, in either direction, and no partial credit for the months you did not use. Your access continues for the full term you paid for.

You can buy a six- or twelve-month plan online at checkout, paid in full at that point, or start month-to-month and move to a term later. Either way a prepaid term is non-refundable once bought, for the reason above.

3. The one exception — if we are the ones who stop

If AfterVue permanently discontinues the Service, or the Service is materially unavailable for a prolonged period through our own fault, we refund the unused portion of your prepaid term. That is the only circumstance in which a prepaid fee comes back.

It does not cover outages at a third party outside our control, scheduled maintenance, or a decision on your side to stop using something that is working.

4. There is no satisfaction or performance guarantee

AfterVue makes no guarantee about results. We do not promise any number of bookings, consultations, procedures or any amount of revenue; we do not promise a change in your conversion rate; and we make no representation about the clinical result any patient will achieve. There is no money-back satisfaction guarantee and no performance guarantee, and neither a refund nor a service credit is available on the basis of results.

Anything said in a demo, a sales conversation, an email or on this website about expected results is an estimate, not a commitment, and does not change your agreement.

What we do commit to is providing the Service in a professional and workmanlike manner. Section 3 above is what stands behind that.

5. Setup fees

Where a setup fee applies, it is charged once with your first payment and is non-refundable once the corresponding onboarding work has been delivered, because it pays for work already done. The Consult Room tier carries no setup fee at any term.

6. Usage charges

Preview overage is billed monthly in arrears for previews you actually generated, at $0.35 each. It is never prepaid and is not refundable — the previews were rendered. Overage for your final period remains payable after you cancel.

7. Renewals

A month-to-month plan renews monthly until cancelled. A prepaid term does not silently re-lock: at the end of its term it converts to month-to-month at the then-current monthly rate, and renewing into another prepaid term is something you have to ask for in writing. For a term of twelve months or longer we write to you between thirty and forty-five days before it ends, telling you what is about to happen and what the rates are.

8. Free trial codes

A trial code costs nothing, requires no payment method, and never converts into a charge on its own. It unlocks the App for three days from first activation, capped at fifty previews. When it ends, it ends — becoming a paying customer takes a deliberate act by you. There is nothing to refund.

9. How to cancel

Use the billing portal linked in your receipt, or email support@getaftervue.com from the address on the account. We will confirm in writing, and tell you the date your access ends. You do not need to give a reason and we will not ask you to sit through a retention call.
